Annual Events

June

ST. DISTAFF'S DAY
St. Distaff's Day was started in June 2002 by the The West Carleton Fibre Guild and the Kintail Spinners and Weavers. It has now become an annual event.

In 2003, the event was co-sponsored by Carmen Forward, Iroquois and our guild. In 2004, it was hosted by the Kingston Handloom Weavers & Spinners. In 2005, it was again hosted by The West Carleton Fibre Guild and the Kintail Spinners and Weavers.

St. Distaff's Day is always a fun-filled day packed with lots of activity for all those interested in the textile world, spinners and weavers, from novice to professional, from teacher to student, from buyer to supplier.

This year's event is on Saturday, June 21st, 2008 and will be hosted by the Richmond Weavers and Spinners guild. The event will be held at the Almonte Agricultural Hall.
