Description: Ever bought a beautiful fibre braid or batt because you loved the colours and ended up with the yarn you hated because the colour wasn’t what you envisioned? In this workshop, we will use colour theory and management to your advantage. Let’s learn how to spin up some fractals to their best advantage. Learn what type of technique will suit your project better. How about a combo spin? What about marled yarn or heathered? Or a gradient? Barber poles are always fun! Learn what to expect from each technique and how to spin your fibre so that it does what you want it to.

Prerequisite: Spinning 2 or equivalent. Ability to ply.

Students should bring: A spinning wheel in good working order, bobbins, lazy kate, niddy noddy.

Materials Fee: $30 for a variety of dyed fibre to sample

NOTE:  Tickets go on sale to members on August 16, 2023.  Non-member tickets open on August 31, 2023.  The registrar will be checking membership status and canceling any registrations by made by non-members using the member rate.
