I was introduced to the fibre arts with the gift of my grandmother’s wheel. At the time I knew nothing about spinning but because I loved her… I loved the wheel. I quickly learned to appreciate spinning for its own sake even though it took many starts and stops and YEARS to really become comfortable doing it. I’m a maker at heart, I can’t help myself but I’m an enabler too. I think everyone should spin. It’s good for your soul, your peace of mind. So I make spindles because making them makes me happy and so you can spin and be happy too.
