Description: You are able to make a thread that holds together on the drop spindle and you are ready to speed things up and try the wheel. This workshop is intended for those who have some experience on the spindle but have not yet made the acquaintance of a wheel. It covers the basic workings of a flyer spinning wheel including set up, basic maintenance, and introduction to spinning and plying single yarns on a wheel. Spinning wheels are provided or you may bring your own

Prerequisite: Spinning 1 – Spindle or able to spin and ply on a spindle

Students should bring: Spinning wheel if you have it

Materials fee: $10.00 for wool fibre and notes

NOTE:  Tickets go on sale to members on August 16, 2023.  Non-member tickets open on August 31, 2023.  The registrar will be checking membership status and canceling any registrations by made by non-members using the member rate.
