Description: You have learned to spin and ply on the wheel. Now take control and learn to make the yarns you want. You will learn to control twist from hard and kinky to soft and fluffy. You will practice a variety of drafting techniques that will allow you to control a wide variety of fibre types and preparations and help you control the diameter of your yarns. By the end of the day you, not your wheel, will be in control of your finished yarn.

Prerequisite: Spinning 2 – Wheel or able to spin a continuous yarn on a wheel.

Students should bring: Spinning wheels are available for use during workshop or you may bring your own.

Materials fee: $10 for a variety of fibre.
